AVALON and BLUE MOUNTAINS GIN COMPANY have joined forces to create a cozy new gin bar and lounge.
Housed in the lobby of the historic Savoy Theatre, THE GIN PARLOUR showcases the range of locally produced spirits by the BLUE MOUNTAINS GIN COMPANY, with a menu of G&Ts and gin-based cocktails. To eat, there’s a menu of shared plates and desserts, or indulge in a gin high tea.
A unique Katoomba experience, THE GIN PARLOUR is the perfect place to catch up with some friends over drinks, or have a cheeky cocktail.

It’s High Tea with twist! Enjoy at fabulous three-tiered afternoon tea - including a delicious selection of house-made savouries, scones and sweet treats - served alongside glass teapots filled with your choice of delightful Gin Cocktails, rather than brewed tea. Served weekends from midday.

Experience a guided tasting of the BLUE MOUNTAINS GIN COMPANY range with the makers. You’ll try four different gins expertly paired with your choice of tonic or soda, with a range of garnishes. Enjoy a full size G&T with your favourite combination. Held Saturdays at 3.30pm.

Gin Masterclass
Calling all gin enthusiasts! Spend an afternoon with BLUE MOUNTAINS GIN COMPANY founders Jann & Harry Dillon for a guided tasting whilst you are taken on a journey of how they produce their range here in Katoomba. They’ll answer every curiosity. Experience includes gin tasting, a full-sized Gin & Tonic of your choice & paired canapés.

Katoomba Comedy Club
Hosted by the audacious and outrageously witty local comedian Amanda Gray, experience our finest home-grown comedy acts - as well as emerging local talent - who’ll make you laugh out loud in the intimate setting of our Gin Parlour lounge. Held on the first and third Friday of the month. Cover charge $22 per person.
Live Music @ The Parlour
Enjoy an intimate dinner and show, featuring live music by some of our best local musicians, who play especially for you in our atmospheric 1930s art-deco lobby. Full dinner and drinks menu available. Held each Saturday night from 7pm-9pm. A cover charge of $15 per person supports our musicians and reserves your seat for the night. Bookings essential.
