World-class comedy comes to the Blue Mountains on the first Friday of each month, when Avalon presents Katoomba Comedy Club!
Hosted by the audacious and outrageously witty local comedian Amanda Gray, experience our finest home-grown comedy acts - as well as emerging local talent - who’ll make you laugh out loud in the intimate setting of Avalon’s DOWNSTAIRS lounge.
Each night will feature four performers, including MC Amanda Gray, a rising local comic, support act and headliner.
Sit back, grab yourself a drink from the bar, and laugh yourself silly with a rotating line up of some of the greatest comedians from around Australia and our own backyard. Or, why not book a table in the dining room and join us for dinner at Avalon Restaurant before the show.
A cover charge of $22 + BF per person supports the comedians and reserves your seat for the evening. Bookings are essential as there’s only 40 seats per show.

ABOUT AVALON DOWNSTAIRS
Since fire gutted Katoomba's historic Savoy Theatre in 1982, the art-deco foyer has been left, for the most part, unused. After nearly 40 years lying dormant, Avalon Restaurant has revived the foyer to create a charming social lounge called DOWNSTAIRS.
Avalon DOWNSTAIRS is quickly becoming one of Katoomba’s most popular creative venues, presenting live music and events every week, including the Afternoon Delights concert series designed for adventurous audiences, and the Piano Parlour showcasing some of our finest local talent each Saturday night.
